This Museum is dedicated to Ge Hong (284-364), a famous scholar, physician, and alchemist of the Eastern Jin dynasty (317-420). The place is also bounded with the Luofu Mountain, an important center of Taoist culture and a major place for Traditional Chinese Medecine (TCM) : Luofu Mountain is often qualified as Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Preservation Characteristic Town.
