Zhuji Ancient Lane & Meiguan Pass
Known as the “ancestral hometown of Cantonese people,” this ancient lane in Nanxiong is where over 170 Cantonese clans trace their origins before migrating south. Nearby, the stone gates of Meiguan Pass mark the historic route connecting the Central Plains with Lingnan.

Nanhua Temple
Founded in 502, this is the spiritual center of Southern Chan Buddhism. It houses the mummified body of Huineng, the Sixth Patriarch, and treasures of Buddhist art, making it one of China’s most important temples.
