Tucked away in the mountains of northern Qingyuan, the Oujia Rice Terraces are among Guangdong’s most spectacular rural landscapes. Main activity of the Oujia Rice Village in Lianshan County, these layered rice terraces transform with the seasons into a breathtaking panorama of golden fields, misty mountains and mirror-like water reflections.

-Often compared to the famous terraces of Yunnan and Guangxi, Oujia Rice Terraces remain one of Guangdong’s lesser-known natural gems, offering a peaceful escape into the heart of Lingnan’s mountain countryside.-

Built along steep hillsides by local farming communities over generations, the terraces follow the contours of the mountains like giant natural stairways. Depending on the season, the scenery changes dramatically. At sunrise and sunset, fog drifts through the valleys while soft light reflects off the terraces, creating one of the most photogenic landscapes in Guangdong.
