With a history spanning over 400 years, the garden evolved from the residence of Ming Dynasty top scholar Huang Shijun to the refined estate of the Long family during the Qing Dynasty. Through generations of careful design and expansion, its layout gradually reached perfection.
The garden is renowned for its harmonious fusion of Lingnan and Jiangnan styles, embracing an asymmetrical layout that reflects the natural beauty and spontaneity of traditional Chinese aesthetics.
Pavilions & Scenic Corners
- The Unique “Boat Hall” (船厅) : the centerpiece of Qinghui Garden is its extraordinary Boat Hall, also known as the “Miss’s Pavilion.” Inspired by the Zidong boats of the Pearl River, it incorporates elements of the stone boat from Jichang Garden : a one-of-a-kind architectural structure in China.
