Xiqiao National Arts Studios (Guoyi)

Exploring Xiqiao National Arts Studios is discovering spectacular imperial palaces, vintage Hong Kong streets, famous film sets and live cultural performances.

Located at the foot of Xiqiao Mountain and also known as Guoyi Film and Television City, the Xiqiao National Arts Studios is a large film and television production complex that doubles as a tourist attraction. With its imperial palaces, nostalgic Hong Kong streets and traditional Chinese architecture, the studios allow visitors to explore filming locations and experience the atmosphere of different historical periods.

The site has hosted productions such as Ip Man: The Final Fight and several Hong Kong television dramas. As the same as for Nanhai Movie and TV Town also located in Foshan, its elaborate sets make it particularly adapted to photography enthusiasts, cinema lovers and visitors interested in Chinese history.

### Ming and Qing Imperial Palace
Featuring imposing gates, red walls, golden roofs and grand courtyards, the imperial palace recreates the atmosphere of China's imperial era.

### Hong Kong Street
One of the studios' signature attractions, Hong Kong Street recreates urban life from the 1930s to the 1960s. Vintage shopfronts, narrow streets and period advertisements evoke the atmosphere of classic Hong Kong cinema.

### Guangzhou and Shanghai Streets
Guangzhou Street showcases traditional Lingnan architecture, while Shanghai Street features early 20th-century buildings and nostalgic urban scenery. Together, they provide contrasting settings inspired by two of China's historic commercial cities.

The studios also feature traditional mansions and Jiangnan-style water-town scenery, allowing visitors to move between architectural styles in a single visit.

Beyond the film sets, Xiqiao National Arts Studios offers live entertainment, including martial arts, acrobatics and historical-themed performances. You can explore the vintage streets, sample local snacks and take photos in traditional Chinese costumes such as Hanfu or qipao.
