Formed from an ancient extinct volcano, the mountain combines lush landscapes, temples, lakes, and martial arts heritage making it one of the most natural and cultural landmarks in Guangdong. Wong Fei-hung practiced and taught in this region and Lion dance and kung fu traditions are still celebrated there.
It has long been regarded as a place of spiritual retreat and cultural inspiration, attracting scholars, monks, and travelers for centuries.
## Giant Guanyin Statue
The main sight is this massive statue of Guanyin (Goddess of Mercy) overlooking the mountain visible and symbolizing peace and protection.
