Hejiang Tower is located at the confluence of the Dongjiang River and Xizhi River. It is recognized as one of the 6 famous towers of Guangdong, alongside with Guangzhou's Zhenhai Tower and Zhaoqing's Yuejiang Tower .

### History
The tower the first residence of the renowned Song Dynasty poet Su Dongpo (Su Shi) during his exile in Huizhou.
Unfortunately, the ancient Hejiang Tower was repeatedly destroyed during the war years and was completely lost in a demolition movement after the liberation, leaving no trace of its original location.
Since the original site was occupied, the current Hejiang Tower was rebuilt on on the east bank of Dongxin Bridge starting in 2006.

### Architecture
The structure is handsome and upright, designed in the official style of the Qing Dynasty, featuring
gray tiles, white walls, red columns and green terraces.
From the second floor upward, each level is surrounded by viewing platforms.
Main building has 8 floors, plus a base complemented by an antique wharf and square
