The park is a favorite destination for locals seeking relaxation, recreation, and cultural discovery.

A Park Rooted in History

The name Cunjin literally means an inch of gold, symbolizing the idea that every inch of Chinese land is precious. The park was established to commemorate the resistance against foreign occupation during the colonial era of Guangzhou Bay, when Zhanjiang was under French lease from 1898 to 1945.

Monuments and memorials throughout the park honor the patriotic spirit and resilience of local people during this period, making the park both a scenic and historical landmark.

Cunjin Bridge Park features beautiful tree-lined avenues, lakes, pavilions, flower gardens, and shaded pathways. Its dense tropical vegetation reflects Zhanjiang’s warm coastal climate, creating a pleasant environment year-round.

The park is also houses the Zhanjiang Museum, which provides insight into the history and heritage of the Leizhou Peninsula.

Seasonal flower displays, community events, and traditional performances further enrich the visitor experience.
